Cookie Policy
What is stored in your browser by these pages, what it is for, and how to change your choice. The short version: nothing non-essential is set until you press Accept, and the pages work fully if you decline.
1. What cookies and similar storage are
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar mechanisms with no expiry rules of their own. Spanish law (article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, LSSI) and the GDPR require your informed consent for any of them that is not strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for.
2. What these pages store
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type | Lasts | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| am-consent | Us | Remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies, so the banner does not return on every page | Local storage, first party | Until you clear it or press "Cookie settings" | Necessary |
| am_sid | Us | A random identifier for the current browser tab, so that the anonymous usage measurement can tell one visit from another. Holds no personal data and is discarded when the tab closes | Session storage, first party | The tab session | Not required: anonymous, first party, no cross-site tracking. Honours Global Privacy Control |
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta Platforms Ireland | Advertising measurement: lets Meta attribute a registration or enquiry to the advertisement that led to it, and build audiences for our campaigns | Cookies, third party | 90 days | Only after you press Accept |
| YouTube cookies (youtube-nocookie.com) | Set only if you press play on the embedded Siesta Homes film; the privacy-enhanced embed sets no cookies before playback | Cookies, third party | Per Google's policy | Set by your action of playing the film |
Our own measurement (am_sid) records page views, sections seen, scroll depth, clicks, film plays and form starts with the country of the request and the device type. It does not record IP addresses, names or email addresses, and it is not shared with anyone. Its purpose is to see whether the pages explain the development clearly and which advertising brings people who read on.
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. That is a request to Google's servers which includes your IP address; no cookie is set by it.
3. Your choice
The banner at the bottom of the first page you visit offers Accept and Decline. Decline sets nothing beyond the record of your choice. Accept loads Meta's pixel. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, which clears your choice and shows the banner again. You can also delete cookies in your browser: see the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
If you accepted cookies and later ask us a question or request a reservation, we also send Meta a server-side confirmation of that qualified enquiry with your email, name and telephone number in hashed form. If you declined, we do not. Details in the Privacy Policy.
